Privacy Policy

This describes what AstroMatch4u actually collects and where it goes. Your birth details are sensitive — you should know exactly what happens to them.

Last updated 3 October 2026 · notice version 2026-10-03

Before you publish this. This policy describes the app's real data flows and follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025, but it is not legal advice. Fill in the three blanks marked [ ] — your legal entity name, your business address, and the name and email of your Grievance Officer (section 11) — and have a lawyer review it before relying on it.

The notice you agree to, in short. AstroMatch4u, run by [legal entity name], uses your email address, name, gender and your date, time and place of birth to cast your birth chart and show your readings, and keeps a record of your purchases and of the network address you sign in from, for security. We ask for your consent when you create your profile. You can see and download everything we hold, correct it, and withdraw your consent by deleting your data, at any time, from your profile card. You can complain to our Grievance Officer (section 11), and after that to the Data Protection Board of India. AstroMatch4u is only for people aged 18 and over. यह सूचना हिंदी में पढ़ें.

Astrology shows possibilities. Your actions shape outcomes. A birth chart represents potential patterns, tendencies and possible life scenarios, rather than a fixed destiny. Your karma, decisions, efforts and circumstances influence how you experience those possibilities. Your readings are offered in that spirit, which is also why we never use them to make decisions about you.

1. What we collect

Only what the chart needs, plus an email address to sign you in. There is no password: you sign in with your Google account (Google tells us your email address and nothing else from that account) or with a one-time code we email to you.

Email address
Signs you in and identifies your profile when you return. Never sold, and never used for marketing.
Full name
Labels your chart and your reports.
Date of birth
Required. Fixes the planetary positions, and confirms you are 18 or over.
Time of birth
Required. Fixes the ascendant — a few minutes changes every house.
Place of birth
Required. Converted to latitude, longitude and time zone.
Gender
Recorded with the profile; some readings use it.
Consent record
When you agreed to this policy, and to which version of it.
Timestamps
When the profile was created and last used.
IP address
Recorded when you create your profile and each time you sign in. See below.
Purchases
What you bought, when, the amount and currency, any discount code used, and Razorpay's order and payment IDs. Your card, UPI or bank details go to Razorpay and never reach us.
Chat messages
Your "Ask your chart" questions and the answers, so the conversation is there when you come back.
Saved reports
A summary card for each reading you open. For a Marriage Match it also keeps the other person's name, gender and date, time and place of birth, so the match can be reopened (section 3).
AI usage
How many AI requests were made for your profile and what they cost, for billing and abuse limits. Not the text.

About the IP address

We record the network address your request came from to keep the service secure — to spot automated sign-ups and to investigate misuse. It is not used to track you across other websites, to target advertising, or to build a profile of your browsing. It is approximate: it can indicate a rough region, not a street or a household. When the site is served through Cloudflare we also use the country your connection comes from, only to show prices in the right currency; that country is not stored.

We do not ask for your phone number or precise location, we never see your card or bank details, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers.

2. Why we collect it, and your consent

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you create your profile. We record when you gave it and to which version of this notice. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your data (section 7); withdrawing does not undo what was lawfully done before.

  • To cast and score your chart. Your birth date, time and place are converted into sidereal planetary positions; those positions are run through the scoring rules to produce your readings. Without all three no chart can be cast.
  • To run your account. Your email and name sign you in and label your dashboard and reports.
  • To take payments and keep tax records. Your purchase records.
  • To keep the service secure. Your IP address and our logs.
  • To write explanations with AI, when you open one (section 4).

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or make any decision about you that has legal or similar effects. Readings describe astrological tendencies, not facts about you.

3. Other people's details

Marriage Match compares your chart with someone else's, and lets you change the first person too. Their birth details are their personal data. You may enter them only with that person's agreement, and only for someone aged 18 or over; the app asks you to confirm both before it uses them. Their details are used to cast their chart for the match, are kept with the match in your Saved Reports so you can reopen it, and are deleted when you remove the match there or delete your data. Their name is never shown on anything you share.

4. Who else sees it

These services process some of your information for us, each only for the job named, and under their own terms for handling it:

OpenStreetMap Nominatim

Your place of birth is sent to find its coordinates. Your name, date and time of birth are not sent.

astrologyapi.com

Your date, time and birth coordinates are sent to draw chart images. Your name is not sent.

Google

Signs you in, if you choose Google. We receive your email address; we send Google nothing about your chart.

Our email provider

Delivers the one-time sign-in code to your email address, if you sign in that way.

Razorpay

Takes payments. It receives your name, email address, the product and the amount; you give your payment details to Razorpay directly.

OpenAI

Writes the AI-written parts of the app: the "simple words" explanations of your readings and of your D1 and D9 charts, the AI sections of the PDF reports, and the answers in "Ask your chart". It is sent your chart's facts (planets, signs, houses, scores) and your gender; for the chat, your questions; and your name only for the health notes and when a report is reworded or translated. Never your email address, IP address or payment details. Details are in the AI Disclosure.

Cloudflare

Carries the site's traffic between your browser and our server, and protects it from attacks. Your requests pass through it.

Transfers outside India

Some of these services process data outside India, including in the United States. The DPDP Act allows this except to countries the Government restricts; we will stop any transfer to a country it restricts.

Aside from these, we do not share, sell or rent your information to anyone. We may disclose it if the law requires us to.

5. How long we keep it

  • Your profile — name, email, birth details, gender, IP address, consent record, chat messages and saved reports — is kept until you delete it, or until your account has not been used for 12 months, when it is deleted automatically.
  • Purchase records are kept for as long as tax law requires (GST and the Income-tax Act), but when your profile is deleted they no longer carry your name, email or birth details: only the product, amount, dates and Razorpay's IDs remain.
  • Computed charts and scores are cached so the same birth details are not recomputed — charts for up to 90 days, scores for 30, place coordinates for 180 — and deleting your profile removes your chart and scores from the cache at once.
  • AI-written text is cached against the facts it was written from (no email address) for up to 180 days, then expires.
  • Security logs (which account did what, and from which IP address) are kept for one year, as the DPDP Rules require, then deleted.
  • Sign-in codes are deleted within a day of use, and with your profile.

6. Sessions and cookies

We set only the cookies the site needs to work: sessionid, a random identifier that keeps you signed in; csrftoken, which protects your forms from other websites; and astro_offer, only if you opened a discount link, holding that discount's code until it expires. None contains your details. The session expires after five minutes of inactivity and when you close your browser. There are no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies.

Every cookie and browser-storage item is listed in the Cookie & Tracking Policy.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can, at any time and free of charge:

  • Get a summary of your data and of who it has been shared with: the Download my data button on your profile card gives you a copy of everything we hold about you.
  • Correct and update it: Edit details on your profile card changes your name, gender, and date, time or place of birth.
  • Withdraw your consent and have your data erased: Delete my data on your profile card does both at once (section 5 says what is kept, and why).
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to: email the Grievance Officer with their name and contact details.
  • Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (section 11). We reply within 30 days, and never later than the 90 days the DPDP Rules allow. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom you also have the rights the GDPR gives you, including to object, to restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.

8. Security, and if something goes wrong

Your data is kept in an access-controlled database; all traffic is encrypted; sessions are short; sign-in uses Google or one-time codes, never stored passwords; and every request is checked against cross-site attacks and limited against abuse. We keep security logs for a year so a problem can be traced.

If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you without delay — what happened, what it may mean for you, and what we are doing and you can do — and report it to the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Rules require.

9. Adults only

AstroMatch4u is only for people aged 18 and over. The app does not accept a date of birth under 18, for you or for anyone you enter in Marriage Match, and we do not knowingly hold a child's data. If you believe a child's details have been entered, contact the Grievance Officer and we will delete them.

10. Changes

If this policy changes we update the date and the notice version at the top. If a change affects what we do with your data, we ask for your consent again the next time you sign in.

11. Contact and Grievance Officer

AstroMatch4u is run by [legal entity name], [business address].

Grievance Officer: [name], [grievance email — e.g. support@astromatch4u.com]. Write to them about this policy, a request about your data, a nomination, or a complaint. See the contact page for more.
